Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE)* of France recently announced a partnership with Celona of the US to provide turnkey local 5G solutions. The aim is to provide local 5G networks for complex industrial environments such as manufacturing sites, refineries, logistics warehouses, ports, and airport tarmacs.
Under the companies' partnership, Celona will provide 5G components, including software-defined 4G/5G cores, SIM/eSIM secure authentication and device management capabilities, wireless access points, and cloud-based deployment, monitoring, and operations services. ALE, on the other hand, will provide a suite of software/hardware products such as OmniSwitch, OmniAccess, and OmniVista for network management and operations.
