Verizon Business announced a private 5G solution for the broadcast industry during the NAB show 2025* in Las Vegas on April 6, 2025. Called the "Portable Private 5G Network Framework," the solution will leverage AI and high-performance connectivity to alleviate many of the problems broadcasters face in live broadcast.

This portable, private 5G system works with NVIDIA Accelerated Computing, including NVIDIA's AI Enterprise and Holoscan for Media, which uses AI to manage numerous camera feeds, highlight key moments and prioritize footage for live production. This allows directors to focus on the most engaging content and enhance the viewer experience with more dynamic and immersive video.

The solution, made possible by NVIDIA and other key partners such as FanDuel TV, Haivision, and Ericsson, can be deployed utilizing a variety of frequency bands including C-band, CBRS, and millimeter wave.

Daniel Lawson, SVP of Global Solutions at Verizon Business, said, "Live content creation and experiential events are evolving rapidly and require innovative approaches to content creation, distribution, and fan engagement," adding, "We believe that NAB show 2025 that combining enterprise AI solutions with private 5G solutions will result in more efficient and cost-effective broadcast workflows," he commented.
