On October 20, 2025, U.S. telecommunications giant T-Mobile announced Edge Control and T-Platform, new enterprise solutions based on 5G-Advanced. It provides an experience equivalent to private 5G on public networks and addresses the demand for lower-cost private 5G.

The newly announced "Edge Control" leverages the "Local Breakout" feature of the company's 5G stand-alone (SA) network. By processing data close to the user (at the edge), it achieves control and low latency performance comparable to private 5G. T-Platform, on the other hand, is an integrated portal for centralized visualization and control of multiple T-Mobile for Business services, including Edge Control. It simplifies operations for companies with multiple locations and devices.

In a statement, T-Mobile explained that "these solutions can operate at 30-40% lower cost than traditional private 5G. The company said it expects the solutions to be used by companies in diverse sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, retail, energy, and entertainment.
