Nokia of Finland announced on June 2, 2025 a partnership with Andorix of Canada, a telecommunications infrastructure company for real estate. The two companies will provide private 5G and edge solutions for the real estate market in the US and Canada.
In recent years, the U.S. real estate industry has seen growing demand for private 5G to support OT (operational technology) use cases such as energy management and efficiency, building operations and optimization, and physical/cyber security on resilient infrastructure. In addition, real estate companies are seeking smart 5G platforms that can integrate indoor cellular coverage and value-added edge applications to improve the tenant experience.
The companies will address this need by deploying private 5G and neutral host solutions for commercial, retail, residential, and industrial real estate; promoting the adoption of technologies such as VR and indoor navigation; and facilitating IoT deployment to address issues such as connectivity reliability and enhanced security.
Private 5G networks are transforming the way enterprises operate, and in-building connectivity is an important piece of that puzzle," said Willie Kopp, Head of Enterprise Campus Edge Sales, Nokia North America. The partnership with Andorix combines the industry's best 5G technology with proven in-building integrated network deployment expertise to meet the growing needs of our customers," commented Willie Kopp.
